a few tags…
I don't think I like the added pearls along the side, but they'll do. I did cut my ribbon tails a lot shorter, though.
This next is a clear tag and I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. Mom thought it would be a great bookmark. Who'd of thought! Look closely and you'll see it… *smile* Hard to take a picture of a clear tag. The strip of paper is on the back and the image is on the front.
I stamped the Penny Black, Butterfly Kiss paper with Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black onto white cardstock that had been layered with Scor-Tape and glittered with Glitter Ritz in Cool Highlights. I colored in with with watercolor pencils, by tipping the damp brush right onto the lead of the pencil. You get a more vibrant color that way.
This Penny Black image, Cheerful, was colored in with a few blue Copics.
Vellum Flowers, a vellum dragonfly and 1 layer of paper, already cut into shape. This paper is also A Walk in the Garden.
I'm having a class on the card and flowers below this coming Saturday along with a Hershey Bar Pouch. Remember that one? I asked Selma if I could teach it and she so sweetly agreed!!! I'm so tickled. It was such a hit at Scrapadoodle.
These Cherry Blossoms are my favorite. I colored white vellum, with varying degrees of pink ink and punched away. Be careful though, some inks don't dry on vellum. I used a Memory Box Flourish for my branch.

What do ya think? They turned okay, I think. I'm trying to simplify a bit, taking out some layers. They look good til I look at them on the computer screen, then I go back and add to most of them. These are sample for work and I don't want so many layers that no one wants to bother re-creating them.
I do have an update on my neck. I'm going to a new Chiropractor and I have 4 discs in my neck that have shrank and deteriorated to the point of arthritis and chronic pain. My new Doc says he can prevent it from happening to the other 3. Thankfully. Right now, I have treatments 3 times a week for 4 – 5 weeks and then I'll get re-evaluated and see where we go from there. So that's why I haven't been on my blog much or visiting you guys. It just hurts too much. I feel old and I hate that feeling. Plucking my eyebrows is even a pain! But I do miss you and I'm thankful you are my friends and have stuck with me.
Make it an awesome week and I will too!!!

Thanks for sharing all these gorgeous creations Carla. You are a great inspiration to all of us. Glad things are improving with your neck - you're definately missed out there in blog land. *smiles* ps...I enjoyed my time touring Scrapadoodle as well.
Wow Carla you've been busy, these tags are very pretty, love the blue flowers.
Glad to hear you've got a new doctor and then help is not far away. I'll keep healthy thoughts for ya!
Carla OMG... Look who's been a busy bee! Well these are ALL gorgeous! I absolutely LOVE the vellum flowers and dragonflies, and that clear tag is genious! Love that Mom was right ... it would make a great bookmark. Your coloring on ALL the projects is just fabulous!
PS: I did miss you so much, but now I know why. I had no idea your neck was that bad. I'm saying a prayer the new doc can work wonders and prevent further damage. I suffered with a bad back for years until I found the 'right chiro but I can't imagine my neck. Must be so painful. Thinking of you ... Hugs
They are beautiful. I love them all, especially the vellum flowers. Thanks for sharing.
Flower on the Happy Birthday card is brilliant. Never thought simple scoring could give that punch life. Perhaps my buyers remorse can be turned to actual use of the punch. Sorry for your medical issues - hoping that your new doc has the answers for some relief. TFS!
All the cards are gorgus!! Sure hope you are feeling better soon!
Oh Carla, these projects are just awesome....so nice, thanks for sharing. Praying your neck will get better soon.

Carla, you certainly have been busy and aren't we lucky for that? These are gorgeous! Every single one! You are so talented and I just love seeing what you come up with. This post is going into my "card ideas" folder so I know right where it is when I need it for reference. I'm so sorry about all your pain; I have only one bad disc in my back and I know how painful that is. I know you must be reeling from it. Hang in there sweetie; my prayers are with you for a speedy recovery once and for all! Hugs ! xo

Awesome! Stunning! Gorgeous! Magnificent! Amazing! Beautiful! There aren't enough superlatives to describe your beautiful creations, Carla. So wish I could take your class but too many miles separate us. I've had disc problems in the past and know how very, very painful that is so you have all my sympathy. I cannot even imagine how you are able to create with what you are going through. I'll keep you in my prayers for healing and for relief from pain and for your peace and comfort. God Bless!
Carla: Your vellum flowers are beautiful. I really need to get my courage up and try them. Please get well, we all need you out here in blog land.
Beautiful cards...Love your flowers...going to try making them...
What can I say......they're all beautiful. I have those Penny Black stamps and your coloring on them is fantastic... especially the glittery Butterfly Kisses. Love how you did that flower on the first card too. Is that a die from SU?
RIDICULOUS!!! As usual, I take a peak at your blog and am blown away by your creations! Now you have some more techniques to teach me! I consider myself a rather lucky girl to be able to have my own personal Carla tutorials!! :)
Carla I wondered where you have been! So I went on a hunt to track you down! I am sorry to hear you are still having neck pain Yikes. I understand how you feel. I see you decided to let SU go as no mention for a while in your posts. I believe I am too at the end of May. Are you working for Joan at Joan's Gardens? I have been looking at her blog for sometime now and see an array of goodies ,that make my heart sore! Please keep in touch my friend. I re signed up to subscribe to your blog just in case!
