I knew I wanted a White on White card with a flower, but I wanted to use more than the Blossom Petals Punch. I thought, well I’ll add a border and some embossing.
Then I remembered this beautiful card I’d seen where she layered all the border punches. I knew it would be the perfect look for what I was visualizing. I wish I could give her credit, but of course I didn’t save the link. Please let me know if you know the card, I will edit my post to give proper credit.
Edited to add: Kath knew the card I was referring to!!! Thank you Kath!!! Credit goes to Julie of Paper Pleasing Ideas and her card is beautiful, I might add!!! Thanks so much Julie!
Here’s my card with an SUO center...

Making the corner is pretty easy, I just punched out 2 of each border, then adhered the first layer on the left and then placed the bottom border where I thought it should go and lined the left flat edge back into the punch and nipped off the edge.
Its easier than you think once you get the first one. Then repeat with each border layer, doing the side and then bottom and then repeat with next layer. I didn’t like how the last layer ended in the corner, so I added a small bow. Easy fix.
You could also Miter your corners by lining up the first border layer (both the side and the bottom where you want them) and cut a 45 degree angle thru the corner, adhere it down and then layer the next border set, and so on. You will cut where they cross. Just be sure to adhere that corner with some removable tape, on the front and back before snipping.

It has a habit of moving just a lil bit on ya. Here’s a close up of my flower center and the instructions. No punch required.

Now using your snips, snip straight down to the 1/8 line at approx. 1/8 intervals, from the angled edge. Starting with the small end and unsnipped edge, roll up using your Quilling Tool or Piercing Tool, roll up tightly and when get to then end, adhere with a bit of Tomboy Glue. It’ll look like this.

Add some Tomboy glue to the center of your flower and sit your center in and let dry. Now using clean finger tips... *smile* flatten out the center all the way around.

Can’t you just picture that white flower with a So Saffron Flower Center. I challenge you to make one!!! The closer the nips you take, the daintier the center will look.
I hope you enjoyed and got some inspiration today. I can’t wait to see what you create with our Punch Challenge.

if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask...
