Embedded Embossing Technique

Have you seen this technique yet?  Its so fun and awesome!!!  I’ve seen it on quite a few blogs and just had to try it.  So I pulled out some retired Cameo Coral and went to town.

I was inspired to use some retired DSP while I was blog hoppin’ yesterday.  For the life I can’t remember where I was, but you do ... I left you a comment, that you inspired me to pull out some of my retired DSP!!!  Here it is.  *smile*

Layered Embossing (3)

Layered Embossing (4)

Notice how some of the flowers are embedded right in the embossing?  I punched out some flowers with the Boho Blossoms Punch, leaves with the Blossom Petals Punch and lightly adhered them to my oval and ran it thru the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  How cool that!  Talk about making your own background paper.  I love it.  Did I say that already?  Here’s the inside...

Layered Embossing (2)

Here’s the Embedded Embossing Technique Tutorial...

Determine your layout, a layer or two or three... place your pieces however you want them to be when your done, tack them down with some Snail Adhesive...Layered Embossing

now line it up in your Square Lattice Embossing Folder...Layered Embossing (8)

Run it thru your Big Shot or Cuddlebug and this is what ya get... Layered Embossing (6)

Layered Embossing (7)

Is that not cool... I will show you how I finished mine on Monday.   Reading others blogs, they say you need to use an Embossing Folder that doesn’t have much space between the embossing or your pieces will want to pop out.  Also they say, too many layers will be hard to get thru you Big Shot or Cuddlebug.

Make it an awesome weekend.  I hope you enjoyed my fun today!!!
