Today’s card is for PPA Challenge, Monochromatic using Blues. I chose to use Bashful Blue, only to realize I barely had enough DSP to do the Challenge. But here’s my card.
I colored in my image using the Copy Cat Copics Technique from Butternut Sage. Using Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Old Olive Re-inkers. The body of the dragonfly is a mix of the greens and blues, which is a much richer, turquoise color on the card.
I can’t wait to browse all the uploads today on the PPA. Everyone is going to be using blue, I’m anxious to see all the different takes on the same color.
My supplies for today...
- Asian Artistry Stamp Set 114399
- With All My Heart Clear Stamp Set 118623
- With Love sentiment Retired – Yummy
- Bashful Blue DSP 112151
- Bashful Blue Cardstock
- Whisper White Cardstock
- Scallop Trim Border Punch 118402
- Modern Label Punch 116630
- To layer... punch one out in the color you want to be the bottom layer, cut it in half, position and adhere underneath your punched sentiment.
- Technique Supplies...
- Re-Inkers in Bashful Blue/Certainly Celery/Old Olive
- 100% Pure Acetone, I got mine at Sally’s Beauty Supply. Its cheap!
- Blender Pens
- Tip: I use one pen for blues, one or two for greens, etc. One side of the pen I use for coloring, actually dipping into the ink puddle and the other end of the same pen for blending the colors.
Here are a couple more cards I created with the Copy Cat Copics Technique. Click on the pictures if you’d like to see more about that card.
I can’t wait to see your Monochromatic Blue PPA Challenge Card, I’ll meet ya there. Hugs,
