Blog Candy Christmas Tag Set

Would you like to have this 18pc Christmas Tag Set?
Tag Set 3
This Christmas Tag set is made using Bella Blue Designer Series Paper, Delightful Decorations Stamp Set #116517 and Christmas Punch Hostess Level 1 Set #115366.

I stamped the Snowman on Whisper White cardstock, allowing enough room on the cardstock for a fold at the top and enough room above the stamped image so it would fold to the back of the tag. To punch out your tag #105934, be sure the fold in the cardstock is below the top of the tag cut line. The inside of the tag says To and From.
Using the label 4 tag from Stampin Up’s Sissix Sizzlits Lots of Tags Die, I cut 2 per tag, and stamped Holly Jolly Christmas on the front and when stamping that same stamp for the inside, I used my Not Quite Navy Marker and only colored the parenthesis and then stamped on the DSP. Punching those out with the Curly Label Punch # 112208. The inside of the tag is stamped To and From. These tags are adorned with little red gems.
For the 25¢ Christmas Cheer Stamp, I cut out the image using my Square Punch #104400 and layered it onto a tag of Not Quite Navy using Tag Punch #105934. The back side of the tag is stamped To and From.
A gift for you tag was stamped on DSP and punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch #114889 and layered on Not Quite Navy cardstock using the scalloped oval from the Bigz XL Movers and Shapers Curly Label Die Set #114506. The back side of the tag is stamped To and From. It attaches to your gift by the gold stretch cording. The center of the flower is also adorned with those little red gems.
A Merry Little Christmas to you was stamped on Very Vanilla and adorned with 2 little gems. Using the Very Vanilla Cardstock I punched out another oval #107305 for the backing, binding them together with ribbon. The inside also says To and From.
The ornament tag was stamped on Very Vanilla Cardstock using the Ornament Punch #116794 and adorning another little red gem in the center of the snowflake to create a unified look through out the set. I punch another plain ornament from VV Cardstock and adhered the two using the red-line 1/8” tape at the top of the ornament. When you open the ornament it says To and From.
I created the box using these directions from Tonya Allen. I tweaked mine, to make a clear lid and not a sleeve to cover the box. I will post the directions for my lid later this week as I’m making another set of these tags and I want to have pictures for you. Oh I loved making these. They were such fun. The cats had a ball too. One loves to steal the ribbon, one loves the roll of adhesive dots, one thought she should just nap on the DSP and on it went with all of them… they were all such a help!
To win this set of 18 Tags, 3 of each style, in there own decorative box with a clear lid and a pretty red bow. Tell me what your most favorite Christmas Present was that you received as a child, in a comment below. Mine was Chatty Cathy and my Easy Bake Oven… I just can’t pick one. I so loved them both. *smile* Be sure to tell a friend so they have a chance to win too!
I will pick a winner by Random.org on Monday, October 5th, 2009 at 9am Central time.
So be sure to check back in on the 5th to see if you have won. If your name is drawn as the winner, please email me your address so I can get it in the mail to you. You will have until Thursday, October 8th to email me your mailing address. I will put your package in the mail on Friday October 9th. My email is the upper left of my blog. Lots of Dots for Mojo Monday…

MojoMon106 (2) copy
I’ve been wanting to use my “Bitty Dot Basics Paper and Polka Dot Parade” Paper for awhile now.  So I thought, with all those layers on Mojo Monday this week, I would combine them into this card.  This is the mojo sketch this week.
Mojo106Sketch
I used Stampin Up Rose Red as my base, embossing with the Cuddlebug Polka Dot Folder.  Using the above paper plus Whisper White and Old Olive for my layers.  The flower is made from Stampin UP’s Sissix Die, Blossom Party #115971 and the leaf is a Cuddlebug Die.  I added a gel sticker in the center of my flowers and each corner has a white candy dot.
MojoMon106 copy
The inside of my card is using a sentiment from Herb Expressions Stamp Set # 113224, stamped with Stazon Ink.
I hope you enjoyed my card today and please check back later this week, as I will be offering some Blog Candy!!!  I’ve been working on it all last week and I finally finished it up yesterday.

Here’s the inside of my anniversary card.  The 40 enclosed in the circle are some older stamps I’ve had for awhile.  The gems on the outside of my card can be purchased just about anywhere.

I usually use vellum envelopes to mail my cards, but I wanted to give Michelle an option, so I decorated the inside flap of a Very Vanilla envelope with DSP to match the card.

Making Acetate Image Sheets

Custom Acetate Image Sheets (4)
Using Grafix Acetate Wet Media, cut sheets to the size of your stamp box, or smaller.  You want 4 images total on each sheet/side.
Custom Acetate Image Sheets (5)Line up your acetate sheet into the corner of your Stamp-a-ma-jig.  Using Stazon, ink your stamp.
Custom Acetate Image Sheets (7)  Lining up your inked stamped into the corner of the ‘Jig’ handle, press your stamp straight down.  Believe me if you are unfamilar with using your stamp-a-ma-jig, this will give you lots of practice and you’re image/word sheets will be already to go whenever you need them.  I never used mine until today… and feel like a pro already.  *smile*
Custom Acetate Image Sheets (8) Now, turn your acetate sheet so the next corner is snugged up to the jig.  Remember your image doesn’t have to be perfectly stamped… if its really messy, just use your stazon cleaner and wipe it off and stamp again.
Custom Acetate Image Sheets (9)Now stamp another image from your set into this corner, and repeat for the next 2 corners.  You now have your first image sheet for this set of stamps already to use.

Untitled 0 01 18-03
I am doing the stamp set Define Your Life and I choose not to stamp on the back side of my acetate so I have 4 sheets with my stamps.
IMGP0604 See my images, there not perfectly stamped and they don’t have to be, there just to use with your Stamp-a-ma-jig, making perfect placement on your project.
I think this is a perfect idea for your Loads of Love Stamp Sets, Sentiment stamps, Alphabets, etc… where placement needs to be just right.  Best of all, you never have to keep restamping them on your jig sheet every time.  If your like me, you like things handy and quick.   So when your in a funk and can’t seem to create,  get out your acetate and start on some of your stamp sets.  You’ll be glad to have them ready to go.
Just  google Grafix Acetate Wet Media, I purchased 2 of the 9 X 12 pads.  You can use both side of the acetate, too.
Here’s the video, my first video I might add… I hope you enjoy.  Leave me a comment or drop me an email if you have any questions.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge #8

PPA8KISScs (5)
Here’s my card for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge.  The challenge this week is KISS, Keep it Simple, Sweetie.  I used Night of Navy DSP, Hostess Level I DSP #116234, Night of Navy 1/4” ribbon #109036, SU Bigz Beautiful Butterflies Die #114507, Whisper White Cardstock, little tiny white gems for the Butterfly body and Navy Candy Dots.
To keep it simple, I cut the polka dot embossed pc and the Night of Navy DSP background pieces each 3” square also.  Then cutting the printed DSP at 2 3/4”.   Wrapped some ribbon, layered the butterfly and added the candy dots… and your done.  *smile*
Of course I had to do something to the inside, so I cut another butterfly set.  Tip:  When PPA8KIS cs(6) copycutting from your Butterfly Die, remember you don’t have to cut the entire die, I cut out pieces of DSP the size of each butterfly, placed the paper over the butterfly I wanted to cut and rolled it thru my Big Shot.
I stamped directly onto the card, using my Stamp-a-ma-jig and Stamp Set Sincere Salutations #115068.PPA
I hope you enjoyed my card for the challenge today.  Please be sure to create your card for the challenge and post it here, using Mr Linky.    Note:  This sketch is pretty popular and it is not mine, I have seen it on lots of blogs.

A Simple Hello

IMGP0572 copy
Hello!!!  Thought I’d better do another manly card.  I decided to use an image from the image swap I was in awhile back, sorry I have no clue who stamped this… but I love it!  I can’t for the life of me find my swap papers.  If you ever get a chance to participate in an Image Swap, do it… you’ll have so many more choice for card making, mini albums or scrapbooking.
Its just a simple card, no fancy inside (yet).  I used a base of Chocolate Chip Cardstock, a piece from Autumn Traditions #115668, Autumn Traditions Rub-Ons #115731 and a few sparkly gems.  The stamp set is Pendant Park #115456.  Thats it, a simple and quick card worthy of any man.
Leave me a comment, I’d love to hear from you.  Any questions about cardmaking, just ask… I’d be happy to help.

If you’d like to order any of the above supplies, I’d be happy to get them to you.  You can either email me or click on my link to the right.Pendant Park #115456  Hugs,

A Birthday Card for PPA 7 Sketch Challenge

PPA7Sketch

Here’s my card for the PPA Sketch Challenge… As soon as I seen the sketch, I new I had to use my retired hostess set, Dear Friend from last years catalog. I have a

PPA7 Sketch

“country” friend that is really gonna like this card. Plus she even has this stamp set, yet I doubt she’d make herself anything with it. Thats just not her style. She’s a giver. *smile* I’m sure she’ll be reading this too.

Real red is the base, with some old polka dot paper I had on hand along with that ribbon. It is whisper white cardstock. The images are stamped using Stazon and coloring with the Gamsol Magic Technique. I hope soon to have a technique video for you soon. But the way my luck is going… I’m sending you here for now.

Are you ready to do this sketch? Then make your creation and when your done, post it to your blog or upload to your online gallery and then go to the Pals Paper Arts Challenge Blog and using Mr. Linky, link your photo. PPA

3 in 1…

Wow!  I’m so impressed with myself… lol.  Mojo 103, SCS CC 235, and my Golden Oldies all in one.  Mojo103SCSCC235 (2)
I had made up my mind on Sunday to do Mojo Monday this week, then I hurt my knee and couldn’t get upstairs yesterday.  So I’m late with Mojo, but I’m current with Splitcoast Color Challenge and early with my Golden Oldies Series.
Mojo Monday sketch was so clever.  I just knew I had to do it. Mojo103Sketch
Using the CC235 Challenge of Basic Black, Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant, I just knew I had a pretty card in the making.   I chose the vine stamp from Tender Toile 2002.   Colored in with the  Copy Cat Copics Technique using Elegant Eggplant and Old Olive SU Markers.  I love the transparency you get with this technique.
I am so not a green person, but I sure liked using Old Olive today.  Then again no one ever thought of me as a pink person either.  Besides the basic colors, I added Old Olive DSP #112160 and the Old Olive Ribbon from Elementary Assortment #116231.  My image is stamped on Very Vanilla.
Mojo103SCSCC235
This is the inside of my card, adding a few sparklin’ gems.  Its the sentiment from Tender Toile.  Together is the nicest place to be.  My card base is Basic Black, which blends with the blog background, so it looks kinda weird.
I hope you enjoyed my card today and if you’d like to place a Stampin’ Up order, either email me or click the link to the right.
Have a great Tuesday!!!
