Get Well Wishes

DSCF4885 copyDSCF4892 copyJust poppin in today with a little Get Well Wishes Card.  No one is sick, thankfully.  But, I just received my Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set yesterday and had to use it.  This stamp set will be available, tomorrow July 1st.  You’re gonna love it.  Its a set of 24 greetings… from Happy Graduation, Just for You, Sweet Treats, I’m so sorry, Happy Retirement, and so on.

I started with Tea Party DSP (Designer Series Paper), the polka dot print from Certainly Celery DSP, Pretty in Pink Cardstock, and Certainly Celery Cardstock.  I used Pretty in Pink as my base and layered the elements from there.  The scalloped circles were embossed with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder from the Cuddlebug and cut out using the round scalloped Nestibilities.  Adding the pretty pink bow last.  For the flower on the front of the card, since I didn’t buy the matching stamp set, I cut out three flowers from the DSP.  First cutting out the full flower, the second cut was just the middle and center, following that I just cut out the center.  I then cut between each petal and used a large stylus ball to gently shape the petals, rubbing the ball on the back of the paper on a foam mat.  I layered them on top of each other using Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430.  See side view pic below…

DSCF4893 The inside of the card is of a flower embellishment I found in my “pink” drawer.  The leaves were cut out with the Sizzlits Die from Stampin UP, Little Leaves #114511.  I stamped the “get well wishes” onto Pretty in Pink  cardstock using the Certainly Celery stamp pad and heat embossing with clear embossing powder.  Tip:  I try to always emboss the sentiments with clear embossing powder, I believe this really makes it pop off the page.  I then punched out the sentiment using the Word Window Punch #105090.

A Simple Masculine Birthday Card

DSCF4883 DSCF4884

I’ll bet your surprised at all these cards… its the new In-Colors from Stampin Up. I’m addicted. *smile* I’m also trying to set up a way to post my pics and the supply list so they are all consistent and in an easy to read format. Viewer Friendly. I like the look of a table for the supply list, but then I have to make one every time I post. I’ve tried doing the source code, html thing for the table and thats not working for me yet. I’m posting into blogger with Windows Live Writer if anyone out there can help me, I’d really appreciate it.

On to the card, its a base of textured Bermuda Bay with textured Dusty Durango and a touch of Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. All available for purchase July 1st. The ribbon is Bermuda Bay, also available 7/1. I stamped the front with SU Asian Artistry Hostess Level 1 stamp set and the hello is from SU Retired Autumn Leaf Prints the inside sentiment is Inkadinkdoo. I used the SU Oval Scallop Punch #114889 and SU Large Oval Punch #107305 and Stampin Dimensionals to raise the oval hello and make it pop off the card. The birthday sentiment is also ‘popped’ up from the bottom rectangle. Gems are from Michaels.

These pics aren’t doing the In-Colors justice. I hope to improve my picture taking skills. *smile* Its time to shut this down for the day. As always, leave me a comment, if you have an extra minute. I’d love to hear from you. Remember my promo thats going on thru July 31… save 20% on your first order. You’ll find all the details on the upper left of this post. I hope everyone has a great day. Hugs

Mom’s Birthday Card in Rich Razzleberry

DSCF4881 DSCF4882 I just wanted to pop in and share the birthday card I made for Mom. Isn’t it hard to wait for the new catalog… I just love being able to share these new sneak-peeks with you.

This card was made with an A-2 sz card in textured Rich Razzleberry. The Designer Series paper is Razzleberry Lemonade and the other textured cardstock is Crushed Curry. Did you know… the new In-Colors will also be available in 8 1/2 by 11 Textured Cardstock. I love using textured cardstock. It really adds pizzazz to your card.

SCS Color Challenge 224

HBDaycc224I was so excited to this Color Challenge over at SCS. I just love the colors. Summer Sun, Retiring Pacific Point and Retiring Tangerine Tango. I was going to add some Summer Sun ribbon and then decided against it. The inside is Summer Sun and Tangerine Tango Cardstock layered with the sentiment… Wishing you butterfly mornings and wildflower afternoons. The sentiment stamp does not say who its made by, only that its made in Rochester, MN.

This card began with textured whisper white cardstock, I then layered textured Summer Sun as the background. I then layered textured Pacific Point and textured Tangerine Tango cardstocks. Adding 3, 1 1/8” textured whisper white circles going diagonally up the card. I cut out 1 set of each of the 3 colors of textured cardstock with the Flowers #2 SU Die #114520. Layering them on the right side of card. Tip: Pop the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430 for added wow power. I used the SU Beautiful Butterfly's Die #114507 with the textured Summer Sun and Tangerine Tango Designer Series Paper. Tip: Position your paper under the die so you just cut what you need and not waste your paper. I adhered the butterfly on top of the yellow base using line adhesive. For the finishing touches, I used the SU retired Circle of Friends Happy Birthday circle on textured whisper white with Tangerine Tango Ink and punched it out using Martha Stewarts 1” Scallop punch. I also used the Stampin Dimensionals to pop it off the white circle base. My Teeny Tiny Wishes SU Stamp Set (available July 1st) is on backorder or I would of used that. I then added white metal circles in 3 of the corners.

And of course, I am very pleased with the outcome. I will be giving it to my granddaughter, Gabby for her birthday. I hope you enjoyed my card and if you have time, please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.

Lovely Flowers True Friend

This is one of the Stampin UP Hostess Level 3 Sets. I absolutely love this set. I am so glad I got to preorder it. It will be available to hostess' July 1st, 09. I only used the "A True Friend" stamp from this set, instead choosing to cut out and pop the flowers from the Designer Series Paper (DSP) that is included in this set along with the Stamps and Rub Ons. The matching cardstock is Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, and Mellon Mambo. Of course my 09/10 In Color cardstock order isn't here yet so I had to use the Old Olive as my base and mats. But I love it. I left the inside without a message so I could have either a Birthday or Thank You card. The ribbon and gems are from Michaels... where else, I work there. *smile* If you'd like to earn this Hostess set, email me to set up a Workshop for your family and friends. I have lots of fun techniques and cards that we can make during your workshop. We have so much fun during these.

I also wanted to wish my men followers to have a Great Fathers Day!!!! And you thought I didn't know you kept an eye on me. *smile* Wishing everyone a great weekend. Hugs,

P.S. Its 12:41 CST and no UPS. Go Figure

Whew, got'm done... Fathers Day Cards

I finally got my Fathers Day Cards completed. The first two, my inspiration was from Mojo 82
The third card was just created by me. *smile* I'm sure somewhere, someone has made the same design. I used Stampin Up Designer Series Paper (SU DSP) Juntos from the Spanish Verson Idea Book and Catalog. You can order it
here. The matching cardstock is... Old Olive, So Saffron, Really Rust and Mellow Moss.
The stamps I used: Great Guy, Great Sport... from Great Impressions
Thoughts of Father: Stampin Up, retiring July 1, 09
Happy Fathers Day Oval: Unknown Clear Stamp
Wide Oval Punch: Stampin Up
Pool Table Set: Jolee's (my dad just bought a Pool Table so had to use it)

I am so impatient today... awaiting UPS and my first (huge) order as a SU Demo!!!! Yeah Me. Hubby left for the afternoon so I will have the upstairs to myself so I can go thru all my goodies w/o interruption. I am so anxious for the new In-Colors!!! Those of you that I follow, are doing such wonderful things with those colors. Aren't they amazing! I hope everyone is having a great day!!! Hugs,

A little “Baja Breeze”…

Here’s a couple 4 X 4 cards inspired by “Patty Stamps”. IMGP0350

IMGP0347 I used soon to be retired (July 1) Baja Breeze Cardstock and Baja Breeze Designer Series Papers. I wanted the first card to be tone on tone. Then I decided I wanted the next one to pop, so I added Cameo Coral Cardstock, Ribbon, and Flowers using retiring “Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper. The leaves are SU Sissix Die Sizzlets Little Leaves. The Tab on the first card is QuicKutz, the flowers EK Success Punches, gems and little pearls from Michaels. The flowers on the second card are EK Success punches. I also used Nestibilities to layer the Whisper White onto the Cameo Coral.

The USPS will not process or deliver this size card, so you have to mail it in an A2 or SU Medium Envelope or you can always hand deliver which is a great special touch! *smile*

Off to work on paperwork and hopefully Fathers Day Cards. I’m using “Juntos Designer Series Paper #112457. If the link doesn’t take you there, click on my Shop Now button, upper right, and then click again on ‘shop now’ in the upper right of my SU home page, in the search box type 112457 and it’ll take ya right there. Its gorgeous paper! At this time I don’t know if its retiring or not. I’ll find out and post with my Fathers Day Cards. So long for now. Make it a great day!!! *smile*
