SCS Color Challenge 224

HBDaycc224I was so excited to this Color Challenge over at SCS. I just love the colors. Summer Sun, Retiring Pacific Point and Retiring Tangerine Tango. I was going to add some Summer Sun ribbon and then decided against it. The inside is Summer Sun and Tangerine Tango Cardstock layered with the sentiment… Wishing you butterfly mornings and wildflower afternoons. The sentiment stamp does not say who its made by, only that its made in Rochester, MN.

This card began with textured whisper white cardstock, I then layered textured Summer Sun as the background. I then layered textured Pacific Point and textured Tangerine Tango cardstocks. Adding 3, 1 1/8” textured whisper white circles going diagonally up the card. I cut out 1 set of each of the 3 colors of textured cardstock with the Flowers #2 SU Die #114520. Layering them on the right side of card. Tip: Pop the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals #104430 for added wow power. I used the SU Beautiful Butterfly's Die #114507 with the textured Summer Sun and Tangerine Tango Designer Series Paper. Tip: Position your paper under the die so you just cut what you need and not waste your paper. I adhered the butterfly on top of the yellow base using line adhesive. For the finishing touches, I used the SU retired Circle of Friends Happy Birthday circle on textured whisper white with Tangerine Tango Ink and punched it out using Martha Stewarts 1” Scallop punch. I also used the Stampin Dimensionals to pop it off the white circle base. My Teeny Tiny Wishes SU Stamp Set (available July 1st) is on backorder or I would of used that. I then added white metal circles in 3 of the corners.

And of course, I am very pleased with the outcome. I will be giving it to my granddaughter, Gabby for her birthday. I hope you enjoyed my card and if you have time, please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.
