Maria's Zentangle Cards

I wanted to share with you some more Zentangle Cards.  These cards are created by Maria A.  She just started tangling a few weeks ago.  They are truly awesome cards, as is she.  I hope you agree and leave Maria a comment.  She doesn't have a blog and I wanted everyone to see her creative creations. 

Maria and I both agree how relaxing Zentangle is and absolutely love it.  If ya can't get something off your mind, it sure does the trick.  The next thing ya know  everyone is starring at you wondering where there supper is.

A Card to Share...

Here's another card I made recently.  I tangled the "Coffee Keeper" Stamp Set by Art Impressions.  The sentiment is from SU Happiest Birthday Wishes.


The flowers are created using the SU Flower Trio Punch and the EK 5/8" Daisy Punch.  I stuffed a mini magnet behind the black layer and one on the flap to keep it closed.

Punch Art Piglet Tutorial

I wanted to share the Piglet card I made for my d-i-l in January.  She's crazy for Piglet.  Cookie Monster is my fav, but that wouldn't of worked for her.  I found an image of Piglet during a Google Search and tried to re-create this little guy.  I couldn't find any written tutorials anywhere.  This is my third attempt…

Zentangle Inspired Card

Hello everyone, I've been dabbling in Zentangle lately.  Its soooooooooo relaxing and I'm having so much fun with it.  Here's a card I made…

We've had a couple classes at work on Zentangle and the gals just love it.  We even a have a few guys into it.  Some think of it as doodling, which it is, the difference is in the patterns being more structured.  Or that's what I get out of it anyway.

Card Share w/Little Yellow Bicycle's Acorn Hollow

I made a couple more cards using Little Yellow Bicycle, Acorn Hollow Line.  I made a Sympathy Card and a Thank You Card.  I love the elegance of this paper when its used this way. 

Using Circle punches and pearls, I thought they came out a-okay.

My fav new tool, is the Epiphany Craft Punches.  I have 2 sizes now and planning on more.  With these punches you can create you own acrylic shapes and buttons.

Here's the rest of my stash…

I've had this black lace forever and thought this was the perfect paper for it.  It's a Memory Box Stamp, Whisper Print Geranium.  I have no idea the paper line, I only bought 1 sheet.  How that happened I'll never know.

This next card is Sweet Afternoon by Teresa Collins.  I just punched out some flowers from the SU Trio Flower Punch.  I think that's the Sizzix Framelets Die, Labels.  The leaf stem is Memory Box, Lorelai Leaf Die

This last one is a Great Impressions Stamp.  I don't know the month it came out, not too long ago.  I cut a slit in the pocket for the 4 U Tags.  I used Copics to color the pocket.  The glittered flowers are using Glitter Ritz Glitters.  The adhesive blue gems are from Hero Arts.

I hope you enjoyed my find.  *smile*  It might take me a bit, but I'm gonna email everyone of you this week!!!  Thanks so much for looking and all your sweet comments.  I'm so tickled to be missed.  I miss you guys too.  I'll get back to blog hoping' soon, I hope.  I'm getting a tablet, so that might help with my neck issues.  I'm still going to the Chiropractor regularly.  If ya remember I started seeing him 3 times a week and I'm down one appt. every other week.  Plus, I see a massage therapist at least once a week for my stiff neck.  She helps me so much!!!

Off for my nap!!!  lol  (I'm writing this on Sunday, didn't want to forget to write it up)

Punch Art Heart Flower Card and Tutorial

Here's my card and the tutorial for the Punch Art Heart Flower.  I hope you enjoy!!

Using retired Parisian Breeze, I cut out a frame with my trimmer, you can see that tutorial here.  Then I cut out one label framelets die, lined up the other die and cut it out.

The outer frame is popped up with clear adhesive dots, stacking 3.  The inner frame is also popped the same way.  Not a lot of lift, but just enough for a bit of dimension.

Side few… I just love the depth of this flower and it lays flat as a pancake for easy mailing.

A Few Cards to Share…

Its been awhile… just haven't been in the mood to create.  But, I'm feeling better.  Thought I'd show you a few of the things I've done in the past couple months.

This card was for Paige, just a gathered ribbon flower.

This is one of my flower pot cards.  I created to use as an idea for a class at work.

This was the actual card we did in class…

This one was created for my purple mood.  I only wanted purple and white and I had to use the Memory Box Butterfly, Vivienne!!!

Yup, that's all I've been up too.  But I do have a new tutorial coming!!!  I created a new flower… its from MS Heart Punch.  I tried using the SU Heart Punch, but the flower ended up way too big.  It would be good for a focal point though.

Look for that post coming soon.  My photos of the card didn't turn out… I'm trying though!!!  *smile*  Plus, I have a couple samples I made for work and those pics did turn out and I'll post them soon.  I can't post them all at once, ya know, I don't want to ruin my track record.  lol 

I hope everyone is doing good and getting your Christmas Cards all created.  I purchased mine.  lol  Current had a sale so I got the Penguins.  Hopefully, I will get a few for family made, though I fear that's wishful thinking.

One of those Sweet Cards

Once in a while you just have to make one.  I love some of the Dreamweaver Stencils and Rain is my favorite.  I paired it with Penny Blacks, Sunshine in the Rain and it turned soooo sweet.

I used the Rain Stencil with Transparent Embossing Paste from Dreamweavers onto a piece of Bashful Blue Cardstock.  With a sponge dauber and white ink, I lightly swirled in a few clouds.  The image is colored in with Colored Pencils.  Nothing special with the coloring, just wanted it done.  I then snipped everything from the image and placed it on the rain background.  Added some grass with Martha's Border Punch and called it done.  The sentiment is from SU's Tiny Tags.

I hope you get a little smile from my card today.  Thanks for taking the time to look.  I appreciate it so much. 

Burlap, Lace and Flowers of course

I've had a ball with my newest purchase, Burlap.  I love it.  Here's two cards I created this week…

Both cards were created using my favorite brown, SU's Soft Suede.  To this one, I added a bit of lace and snow white flowers using the Med and Large Cherry Blossom Punches from Punch Bunch.  Flower Center is the Small Sun Punch, also from Punch Bunch.  The tag is a Memory Box Die called Distressed Tag.

This card was creating using the paper I won from Joan's Gardens, called Petite Papers by Websters Pages.  I added some gel like gems, some Mulberry Flowers and the Grove Branch from Memory Box.

Here they are together.  The insides aren't finished yet, but then again I haven't been doing that much lately.  Of which, I'm sure I'm going to regret when I want to send one out.  The one with snow white flowers is my favorite, I just love contrast.

I'm anxious to create a manly man card with the burlap.  Anyone have a masculine/burlap card I could get some incentive from?  Please let me know.

Kerinn took my Flower Class on July 7th and look at what she's created since… fabulous!!!  I am so tickled.  Can you see my smile?

I just love her layout and placement of flowers.  Just perfect!!!  Beautiful Kerinn, just beautiful!  I would love to have a roll of that lace, isn't it pretty!!!

One to another project today.  I created 2 cards for Mom's birthday and had a heck of a time deciding which one to give her.  I nearly gave her both.  Here's the first one… in my favorite of colors of course.

The little blotchy background behind the happy birthday sentiment is Alcohol Inks on White Glossy Cardstock.  The image is a free download I got from somewhere.  If you'd like a copy, email me and I'll either send you a copy of mine or I'll find the website.  If you know the website, please let me know.

Card 2 and the one I ended up giving Mom…

The background Die is from Memory Box, the Tessatina Border.  The clay pot is a stamp from Inky Antics, Potted Violets from their Honey Pot Collection.  The tiny tag is SU's and the flowers are Mulberry Flowers.
